Learning to drive with Phil has been a fantastic experience. He is very supportive and really tries to boost your confidence whilst driving. He adjusts the lessons around what you want to do and what you need to work on. He also creates an email with an overview after every lesson, to help you focus your attention. He’s an involved and friendly teacher, who always arrives with a smile on his face. When it came to my theory test, Phil suggested we meet for tea and cake to run through the parts of the test I was unsure about, consequently I passed first time. Showing he always goes the extra mile! We always had a good laugh and can’t thank him enough. I’d recommend him to everyone!

I began driving with Phil in February after having a couple months driving with a previous instructor at the end of last year. I immediately found Phil’s teaching technique easy to understand and follow. I felt comfortable and confident in the car and began to enjoy driving a whole lot more!! My mum was friends with Phil previously which is how i found out about his driving school, (later i found a bunch of other people i knew had learnt to drive with him) He made me understand how and why things work in a car which allowed me to actually know what was actually going on when i was driving. He is friendly and is always able to answer any questions i had (however stupid they were!), i would defiantly recommend Phil to other people & will be doing!! I don’t think i would have passed so quick without him!

Learning to drive with Phil has been brilliant! He’s a great teacher and we had a lot of good laughs! He also focuses lessons on what you need to improve to get you ready for your test; and if you haven’t done your theory, get it booked because he’ll keep asking until you do 😄 the handouts and lesson overviews given after each lesson help you to know what you’ve done well and what to improve. All in all I couldn’t have picked a better instructor, thank you so much Phil!!

Phil is reliable and always on time, your lesson will not be a boring one with Phil’s sense of humour and rubbish jokes:) He will ensure you keep on top of theory prep and won’t give up until you’ve passed it, this continues with your practical. Other instructors can be prone to drag out lessons but will draw you in with cheap prices however not Phil; paying that little bit more is well worth it and each lesson is productive and actually planned out. Throughout the time I was learning to drive from my first lesson until my last Phil kept me motivated. Learning to drive has been such a fun and memorable journey. It feels like yesterday since started my lessons in August, and even though I have never driven a car before I felt totally safe as Phil´s teaching methods are not over complicated which really helped me.

He never once panicked or raised his voice, and was always very positive and supportive while driving which helped my confidence grow faster. The lesson briefings that he sends after each lesson really helped me as he tells you what went well, what you need to practice on before the next lesson, and the plan for the next lesson. This helped me massively as I could go out and practice in my own car on the things I needed to practice. I don´t know any other instructor that does a lesson briefing and I think it shows how much Phil is passionate and dedicated about getting you to pass. The lessons themselves went really fast because time does fly when you´re having fun, and there was the right balance of learning and laughter (even though his jokes where terrible😂).

When I was doing my theory I found that his app really helped as he could monitor my progress and tell me what areas I really needed to focus on. A week before my theory test we had a lesson just on the theory which helped as I could ask all the questions I was struggling on and understand the answer rather than guess it... a week later I passed my theory first time. I really do consider Phil a friend and miss our lessons. After I failed my first test he didn´t let me give up or make me feel bad in anyway, he said I just needed to get back up go again, this positive outlook meant that less than two weeks later I had passed my test. I recommend Phil to everyone, and all really does give you 100% of his focus in the car. I can´t thank Phil enough for everything, he really is the best instructor and don´t think he truly knows how good he is.

"I was driving with Pass With Phill for just under 11 months. I was a very nervous driver at the beginning of our lessons as I had never even sat in the driving seat before, however not long after the first lesson I felt very safe and much more confident in what I was doing. Phil is a natural instructor and filled me with confidence from the very start! He has brilliant teaching methods that are easy to understand and doesn´t ever over complicate things, he takes the time and effort to send me lesson briefings after each lesson which really helped me in developing as a driver. He is also a great motivator as well as a friend. throughout all my time driving with Phil , he has not once panicked me or raised his voice in or out of the car. He´s Phil and even though I have passed I will always keep in contact with him. He is an amazing instructor and I wouldn´t ever recommend anyone else. His manner of teaching is laid back, and his commitment to providing a positive experience has been worth every penny. Phil provided excellent value in his service: with emailed feedback after every lesson, handouts which break down manoeuvres into simple steps, and access to a theory practice site free of charge. His methods are incredibly thorough; you will never leave a lesson feeling confused, with Phil always ensuring that you feel confident in your understanding of the content.



Beyond simply learning to drive, Phil is a great laugh, I always found myself looking forward to the next lesson if for nothing but the chat! I will miss my weekly drive with Phil, I feel I’ve gained a great friend in my experience, since a Phil isn’t just for driving instruction, a Phil is for life! My brother suggested Phil to me. Before I had the lessons, I was very nervous about driving but after the first few lessons I felt a lot more comfortable and that was because Phil had a very calm manor and stuck to the basics. Phil will give you lesson briefings each week which shows you which parts you did well and which parts need focus on. This really helped me understand what I need to do to become a better driver. Before any manoeuvre you do he goes over it showing you the best and the safest way to do the manoeuvre by drawing it out and showing you what you need to look out for when doing the manoeuvre. He is very patient and relaxed in the lessons so if you do make a mistake he will show you what went wrong. He gives out lesson handouts every week which make you more familiar and comfortable with manoeuvres and other parts to driving. In some of the handouts it shows you how to approach certain roads in Buxton for example Dukes Drive and other test routes. This helped me because when we came to the road I would know how to approach it and what steps to take to make sure that its done safely. He also helped me out massively with the theory because he creates an account for you on a theory website which allows you to complete mock tests and helps you learn the theory side to driving. Phil was recommended to me by a friend who claimed that he was friendly, efficient and an all around good instructor. She was not wrong. After my first lesson I felt completely at ease and much more confident than I had expected, my confidence grew more and more with each lesson and I improved quickly. After each lesson Phil would email me a briefing which I would read over before the next lesson and he would always reply to my texts within about an hour. I don’t know anyone else who has such an efficient and reliable instructor, Phil never cancelled a lesson and always tried to stretch out the money in a way that I would benefit from. Towards my practical test date Phil was really supportive and he made me feel calm. Because of Phil, I passed my practical test first time after only four months of driving. Don´t think twice about having Phil as your instructor, he is the best. I’m sure a lot of other people will tell you the same too.

Such a comfortable learning environment, not just a ´teacher´ or an ´instructor´ but also a friend. Pass with Phil also helps with so many other things, such as your theory test! Don´t hesitate to ask him for extra help with this or your driving test, as he´s always more than happy to help. I don´t have one bad thing to say about him as an instructor or as a person. I would 100% definitely recommend his service to any friend of mine that´s looking for an instructor for driving lessons. After a rocky start with 3 different instructors a friend recommended pass with Phil and it was the best thing i did. Phil is brilliant, hes kind, patient and helpful. He explains things in a way that you understand.He never gets cross or shouts and he has time, not many driving instructors do. He is always a call or a text away which is fab when you dont understand a theory question with plenty of nice reminders to practise using a brill theory site provided. Throughout life I tend to find all the old wives sayings tend to be true. If you buy cheap, you buy twice. Pass With Phil may be a little more expensive than other driving instructors, but the value you receive far out strips the cost. Along with the excellent lessons, you also get Amazing support to go with it. Emailed lesson de-brief, handouts to explain techniques further, free access to practice your theory, and most importantly, he´s always there at the end of the phone for a chat! No other instructor goes above and beyond like him, so save yourself money in the long run by spending a tiny bit more now. A student is only as good as its teacher.



Although I joined his list of many, many first time passes, I´m also a little disappointed. Our weekly drives were such fun, I´d be eagerly waiting for the next. Now thanks to Phil, not only have I gained a full driving licence, independence, but I´ve also gained a great friend.

After learning with Phil for 5 months, I recommend learning with him so much. Without fail, Phil made sure I had a lesson every week (no cancellations) and was never once late or unreliable in the slightest. Driving was made such a fun experience with no worries due to trusting Phil and being able to chill out whilst learning, I never felt I had one disastrous lesson as Phil would always make sure I understood everything thoroughly and that I was comfortable whilst driving! I couldn´t be happier with the 5 months I had whilst learning and I definitely wouldn´t have been as prepared as I was with both my practical and theory if I hadn´t chosen Phil as my driving instructor. If you are thinking of learning to drive I would recommend Pass with Phil without a doubt. He made me feel so comfortable and confident with driving and taught me excellent tips and techniques especially to nail the manoeuvres (even when I used to have a mental block against the left reverse).



As well as being an amazing teacher Phil is also such a lovely person with a great sense of humour. I always enjoyed our lessons and will miss them even though I´m so pleased to have passed! He always has a story to tell every lesson and we had some great laughs!

Where do I even start .... so many laughs and tears especially after my car crash and if it wasn´t for you I think I´d of gave up then, but nope you kept me behind that wheel an told me I´ll pass. After 3 times of failing my test through stupid things each time today I walked away with 4 minors and a pass... After each lesson you get a briefing of what went well and what you need to focus on, which is brilliant as you know where you will be upto on the next lesson. 5 Star Phil! Phil has just seen my son Jamie through to gaining his licence. I cannot praise Phil enough and would recommend him to everyone without hesitation! As a parent I received emails every lesson, how things had gone, good and...well not so good. Even though I´ve not been in the car with Phil I know the word bad would not be used as he is so full of encouragement and positivity, his coaching skills with Jamie have been excellent to improve his driving after every lesson. Phil sent Jamie texts to remind him if he hadn´t done any theory practice as Phil could watch when he logged on to revise, all again through encouragement. Phil´s superb coaching and a true sense of what the individual needs of the candidate led to Jamie passing his Theory and Practical tests first time. I even pushed Jamie to take extra lessons the week before his test, Phil could have taken the money, however he said "No you don´t need them!" So honest Phil as well! A friend suggested Pass with Phil to me when I was struggling with another instructor. Driving wasn´t something I enjoyed and I would often return from a lesson unhappy and dreading the next one. With Phil however, the opposite is true; from the start he encouraged me, reassured me, and made me laugh to the point I actually looked forward to lessons.



Phil is very patient and explained any mistakes so that I understood why they happened and then how to correct them. His positive disposition stopped me dwelling on those mistakes so I could carry on and ultimately pass.



Phil sends out handouts summarising each lesson which are useful as they allow you to see where improvements can be made and reflect on them in preparation for the next lesson and the test.

Whenever I was nervous or uncertain about a situation, he always put me at ease. "Phil is a very delightful person to know. My very first time driving was quite an achievement. Phil went through all the basics with me, and while it took a bit of time and patience I managed to get the hang of things. before I knew it the first few months went by and I started to improve and drive with confidence. I received plenty of handouts and advice which were really useful and helped me pass my theory first time aswell as preparing me for my driving test.

Where do I start? There are countless good things to say about ´Pass with Phil´ without a bad word to its name!

I first found out about Pass with Phil when I applied to take theory lessons during my first couple of weeks at college. It was about a month or two later that me and a friend took up the lessons provided and lo and behold, it was where I met ole Phil!



On our first driving lesson, I was very nervous with my anxiety going through the roof and Phil could see this due to my handling the car horribly down a fairly straight road in first gear! He didn´t tell me to ´shake it off´ or to ´try focus on something else´ but instead provided a sense of security that everything will be fine and nothing will go wrong as long as he was in the car besides me, he asked me to take my time and take deep breathes without rushing into it and it helped!

Phil is extremely good at his job and goes above and beyond his duty to help you succeed in driving. On any lesson he helps to break the nervousness and silence by distracting you and asking how you have been and what´s new in life before kicking straight into a lesson with you raring to go. Phil is extremely patient and doesn´t shout at all no matter how wrong you may go, he identifies your weak points (like a robot! 😉) and helps you learn to perfect them one by one. Phil also provides helpful handouts for you taking your theory test or driving test, these handouts contain very useful information about the road and the car itself (So go over them repeatedly because you´ll never hear the end of it!!!)

Pass with Phil Driving School was recommended to me from a number of people. Phil calls round to the house before lessons to introduce himself and the car. The lessons are relaxed, a good laugh and nothing is rushed, allowing progress to be made at individual speeds making the experience more enjoyable.

Phil always emails a lesson briefing after every lesson, letting you know what went well, highlights areas to improve, a plan for your next lesson and home learning tasks via handouts on manoeuvres, road markings, etc.

The Theory Test Pro website was one of the most beneficial things for theory test preparation. It is a great help for highway code questions and hazard perception videos. Phil is able to keep track of your progress and suggest sections to focus on.

Phil is always contactable for any questions. I have loved every minute of learning to drive with Phil and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to drive or improve their confidence behind the wheel. Phil teaches you drive, not just to pass a test.

I was extremely nervous and uninterested in learning to drive and only decided to try out a lesson as i felt that i really needed to learn for my independence. As soon as i got in the car for the first time everything changed. Phil puts you at ease straight away, he is so chilled and easy to get on with. Every lesson is full of laughs (and the occasional tear) but i know i looked forward to each lesson so much each week! The lessons are not easy and definitely push you but you never feel uncomfortable or over stressed.

Phil goes above and beyond to make sure you get the most out of the lessons, he sends you briefings after each session which tell you what went well and what you will be working on next time. He is always there 24/7 if you have any questions and is really approachable so you always feel that you can ask anything and not feel silly.

Phil also helps you with the theory test, he gives you access to a useful website on which he can monitor your results and will make time to help you if you are unsure of certain areas.

Well where do I start? Phil is a legend in the making and clearly knows what he is doing. He has helped me so much to become a good driver and helped me pass my test 1st time. Phil is a man with lots of patience and is one of the most kind and genuine blokes around. If I was having a bad lesson or making mistakes he would never shout at you, he would just talk you through it and always tell you how the mistakes can be made better.

Phil isn´t short of any banter either haha, he does nothing but make you laugh for the duration of your lessons and he helps keep nerves away. He isn´t short of conversation and has many stories to tell.

Wow I passed 1st time...this is without doubt because I had the best driving instructor ever! Phil is very friendly, patient, informative, encouraging, motivating and most of all he makes driving lessons fun!

What can I say, I can´t thank Phil enough for helping me through my driving over the last 4 months. I remember my very first lesson back in April and I knew from the first five minutes in the car I´d made the right decision. He had so much patience with me when other instructors would get frustrated. There were times when I would get annoyed and didn´t want to do it anymore but he helped me believe in myself and coached me through everything constructively rather than making me feel useless. Phil knew when to be serious but also have a laugh at the same time, I never once dreaded my driving lessons, I always looked forward to them. I am genuinely sad that I won´t have driving lessons to look forward too but I´m extremely grateful that I have my independence now. I was never interested in driving and could never find an instructor that I felt like I could sit it a car comfortably with; it wasn´t for months after my 17th that I was hearing all these goods things about Phil off other people he´s taught; encouraging me to give him a ring and see for myself. Just by him coming round and meeting me and telling me what he was about before me getting in a car with him made me feel so much more comfortable and I knew immediately he was the right instructor for me. I´d never even turned a car on before my first lesson and I don´t think any one else could have made me feel as comfortable and relax my nerves as much as Phil did. Every time I had a bad lesson and lost my confidence, Phil helped me to build it back up and even when I failed my test the first time, he reassured me that I was a good driver and that I was capable of doing it, which then led to me passing just 2 weeks after. I couldn´t have done it without Phil´s help and I would recommend him to anyone. He´s ace! Thank you so much for all your help and patience, especially helping me turn the wheel in the many occasions where I forgot to.

"I would like to take a moment to thank Phil, not only one of the nicest people you could ever meet but the best driving instructor in the world!



When choosing a driving instructor I was always worried what it would be like. Would they shout at you? Would they be mad if you couldn´t get something right? I have to say I chose the calmest and patient driving instructor and so should you! I spent most lessons laughing and smiling, and couldn´t wait to get driving again the following week. Even on bad days he would never complain or get annoyed, despite me having a breakdown over parallel parking!



Phil was great from start to finish, from the moment I first moved the car 2 metres and screamed with excitement to the nervous wreck taking my test.



I´ve always found it hard to learn by being told things and preferred to take a more ´hands on´ learning method. Phil respects each and every one of his learners learning skills and adapts every single lesson. He had the patience of a saint trying to explain the same manoeuvres over to me again and again. He then continued to have the patience when I didn´t understand the theory test. He took the time and we sat through it and after 1 hour I was able to see where I was going wrong and suddenly the hardest thing In the world seemed so simple!



Lessons with Phil were always jam packed full of information and fun. Whether it´s learning something new or just perfecting and practising that manoeuvre giving you the confidence when passed to get it right every single time.



To summarise, Phil isn´t a guy that just teaches you to pass your test, he teaches you to drive. Believe me there´s a big difference. He will go the extra mile for anyone and will do whatever he can to help you always in a professional but fun manner! I have even had the confidence now to take on a driving job, only a couple of months after passing. I couldn´t recommend Phil more.

"I´m so sorry this is so late, since passing I have been out driving so much, it slipped my mind.

That just shows that Phil taught me how to drive not just to pass my test. Phil is the best driving instructor I could have asked for.

I´m a very stubborn girl, and was very close to giving up at one stage, Phil showed me that I was a good driver and that I shouldn´t let the nerves get the better of me.

He put up with all my moods and moans when I didn´t want to do parallel parks.

He showed me how fun driving is and what a great experience it is.

I don´t think I would have enjoyed driving as much if it wasn´t for such a fantastic teacher.

Thank you Phil for helping me pass my test.. 1st time! I started my driving experience back in November and unfortunately made the mistake of being too keen and taking the 1st instructor that came along! I had liked Phil’s page and watched all the positive updates while I was suffering with my instructor shouting at me and draining my confidence.

After 56 hours enough was enough and I got in contact with Phil. I arranged to do an intense manoeuvres lesson 2 weeks before I had my test booked. I couldn´t believe the change in respect. He had all the time in the world for me.. Within that 3 hours I could finally reverse around a corner and parallel park!! After big discussions I told Phil I could not carry on my driving with my old instructor. I´d of been setting myself to fail. With a struggle Phil made the space for me to learn with him.. I cancelled my test and carried on driving with Phil for the next 5 weeks. I was a nervous wreck! In my head I couldn´t and wouldn´t do it! Phil reassured me and boosted my confidence. Within my 2nd lesson with him we was laughing and joking and driving didn´t seem so scary. Everything fitted into place.

I no longer had to put up with shouting! Something I wasn´t use to! With a few tears along the way Phil fully prepared me to take my test. He ensured I had all the handouts I needed ready for the big day.. He was always on hand, be it text, phone, Facebook or in person for any worries I had before test day.. He reassured all negatives and turned them into positives. .. NO BODY turns up to his lessons with self disbelief! ! I took Phil along on my driving test as a friendly face. He reassured me that I would nail my driving test.. I came out with 3 minors and a PASS.. Phil helped me join the club of 1st time pass on both driving test and theory :)



So to sum it all up.. Phil is the only driving instructor around that I would recommend. He can accommodate for even the worst of self-confid

I just wanted to take this moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to Phil, whom, - whether he realises it or not, - has really helped me in overcoming my fear of driving. Nonetheless, at thirty-five years of age I have been putting this moment off for eighteen years now. Under his expert guidance I passed my test yesterday, and over these last few months I can’t fully put into words the feeling of self-confidence he has instilled in me. That is to say, not only is Phil extremely practical in his tutelage, he is also very intuitive with an easy-going and positively charged manner. There is something of the optimist in him and it is highly contagious, - even for somebody as naturally downbeat as myself!

To summarise though, I have had three other instructors over the years and I can say without hesitation, that Phil is a good head and shoulders above them in every respect. It is sometimes difficult to find a good instructor, as ultimately, it is always a shot in the dark. However, to find a ‘great’ instructor is plain lucky. Mahatma Ghandi and the Dalai Lama are both men well known for their patience, but even these two would have struggled with me as their student. Not Phil though, he has patiently guided me from a stage of abject horror at the thought of driving to a point where not only have I passed my driving test, but also am confident in my ability as a well-rounded and, above all, safe driver.



Not only has Phil been the sole catalyst in the process of my development from non-driver to confident full licence holder, through learning with him I feel I have gained a good friend. ´Passing my driving test with my Dad as my instructor was really good because I was treated the same as every other student, and it didn´t feel weird to actually be learning with my Dad. When I was in the car, he was my instructor just like with everybody else. I always felt safe and at ease and I learned only the best because he´s such a good instructor. I honestly couldn´t have passed my test if it wasn´t for him! The good thing is that even though I´m his daughter, he wasn´t afraid of telling me when I did something wrong and areas that I needed to work on, just like another student. I know we struggled with me working everyday, it made it hard because I was always tired after work and then to do a 2hour lesson, some days it showed I was tired.

Phil is a great driving instructor, his calm and focused approach really helped me take my first steps into driving, not only teaching you how to pass your test but also how to drive, you can tell the time and effort Phil puts in behind the scenes sending you reviews on your previous lesson and handouts which you can run over at home, it really shows that he wants you too pass just as much as you do.

Well what can I say about Phil Shaw? Other than he is the godfather of all Driving Instructors. You wanna pass your driving test then Phil Shaw is your man that can. He cares about each and every student like they are a member of his family. He not only teaches you how to be a safe confident driver but why you should be doing it in the m.s.p.s.l. order, to enable you to become the perfect driver he has taught you to be. I don´t think I have ever met a man who is so passionate about his job. He is always there to help you. Whether it be to pass your theory test i.e test Pro, or a text at stupid o´clock about a question that has been niggling away at you. He always gets back to you a.s.a.p. If it wasn´t for Phil Shaw I would never have become the safe confident driver that I am today. So I want to say a massive thank you now Phil As not only did you do a good job at teaching me to drive but you also made it so much fun. I will cherish some if not all of my driving memories I have like when we saw a man on a bicycle with a parrot on his shoulder driving down towards Morrisons. Strange but true. lol . my only regret about passing my Driving test is that I won´t get to take driving lessons anymore with Phil.I gonna love ya and leave it here cause otherwise I could drown on forever but you already know there´s no shutting me up ay Phil lol Stay safe and stay true. your number 1 driving student Debra Millward x x x

´Phil is far more than just a driving instructor. You can tell he´s so passionate about teaching. I´m so pleased I chose Phil and would recommend him to anyone. He´s great at boosting the confidence of new drivers and totally believes in your abilities. If he can get me through a test, he can get anyone through a test :)

Phil is not only an exceptional driving instructor, he is also fantastic at inspiring confidence in his pupils.

I started off nervous after struggling to drive a car in the past, through patience and motivation Phil transformed me into a safe and sure-footed driver. His focus on improving hazard perception allows learners to easily understand and predict the dangers on the road. One of the most prominent aspects of his teaching technique is constant communication and feedback, on approach to junctions he will guide you through all the steps necessary to safely carry out the manoeuvre. As the lessons progress he holds back, allowing you to become accustomed to judging a situation by yourself.

Phil is also fantastic company in the car and available at any time via email or by phone.

I will miss the fun of the lessons and wish all his students the very best.

Learning to drive with Phil has been a great experience, I always felt relaxed with him and he’s super easy to talk and calmed my nerves every time that I had a little panic. He was supportive in every way, from giving me useful tips for when I would be out on my own, dropping a text when I’d had a good lesson and even helping me sort out difficult situations I was facing away from driving! Phil went the extra mile that other friend’s instructors certainly didn’t, this included the lesson briefings after lessons and the theory test pro which was a great tool when preparing for my theory test. Phil is always so enthusiastic in the car and when I finally was able to do a left reverse he was just as over the moon as I was; to have someone that it there to encourage you as well has teach you to learn to drive has been incredible, Phil has so much passion for teaching and this really comes across in the car, he doesn’t just want to get you through your test, but give you the skills that will enable you to safely drive and drive well once you are out on the road on your own. The confidence that I have gained in my own ability, both in driving and other aspects have been down to the continued support Phil has given me since I began to drive with him the February. I can’t thank him enough for the vital skills that I have been taught and are helping me every time I go out in the car. Actually going to really miss lessons with Phil, despite the thrill of being able to now drive on my own. Thank you for everything Phil!!

Phil has been the best driving instructor ever. I have always felt that him teaching people to drive is more like his passion than his job, and every time you get something right for the first time such as a manoeuvre, he gets the same buzz as you do! He has always been supportive and encouraging and always taught me to believe in my ability to drive. Not only is he an amazing instructor, he is also someone you know you could talk to about anything because hes always there to listen and try to understand. The extra support outside of the lessons was also so helpful as he gives you a lesson briefing and handouts after every lesson which you can go over and reflect on, and the theory test pro helped me to pass my theory test first time! So thanks Phil for all the support and all the fun, miss you already!

Thank you to Phil on helping me pass my test, I really wouldn’t be the more confident driver I am today without him. From the start I was very nervous and his supportive and encouraging nature helped me to soon develop the confidence I needed on the road. Phil encouraged me to use the Theory test pro and I couldn’t have passed my theory test without it. It was a great interactive tool that Phil provides which was so helpful. Not only did he teach me how to pass my test, he taught me how to drive by understanding the affects of situations and reacting/solving problems, which I needed to use on my test! Phil is an absolute legend not only is he a fantastic instructor, he´s a great friend, he makes you feel comfortable whilst driving, as well as driving he also helps massively with driving theory stuff, going to miss the banter with him, again a really great instructor who goes over every aspect of driving. I First started learning with Phil at the start of this year, he was recommended to me from a good friend of mine who is also learning with him. Phil is such a dude and he really cares for his learners when it comes to driving and person problems. Phil is very supportive and encouraging, whenever I had a bad day he would always cheer me up and make me believe that anything is possible. Iv really enjoyed learning with Phil his lessons have been the best and we have had such a laugh! Thanks for everything Phil. :D

I passed my test a year ago, but I had never been on the motorway before. I wanted a change from my last driving instructor and ending up finding Phil who I found to be much better. He helped me feel calm and seemed very professional as he gave me a booklet with information on it and said he gives his pupils one every lesson so they can form into a file which I thought was a great idea (my old instructor didn´t give me anything like that). He also showed up early and we finished slightly late which shows he gives each pupil 100%, I am going to recommend him to my friends and family.

I really enjoyed learning to drive with Phil. He is an encouraging supportive teacher who honestly cares about his learners. He is very dedicated and provides great support outside of lessons too. I found the structure of his lessons very clear, so I was continually aware of my progress. Phil is a nice guy and we had a good laugh during the lessons too; as happy as I am to have passed my test, I will miss having lessons!
