A New Chapter: Hanging Up the L-Plates
To all my past, present, and future drivers,

After 13 and a half wonderful years as a driving instructor, the time has come for me to officially retire at the end of August due to health issues.

Looking back over the years, it has been an absolute privilege to help so many of you take to the road. We’ve shared it all—the nerve-wracking first lessons, the triumphs, the occasional setbacks, and plenty of tears, laughter, and celebratory hugs along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of learners.

I’m Still Here to Help!
While I am stepping back from full-time instruction, my passion for coaching hasn´t gone anywhere. If you have your own car and are looking for a bit of guidance, I am still available on a more informal basis to offer:

"when i met Phil, i was terrified of driving, i had tried learning to drive with a couple different instructors but they weren’t the right fit. Right from the start he was patient, understanding and reassuring and he always has a joke to keep you calm and relaxed ( even if you are really anxious driving like me 😂)
something that makes phil so different to other instructors is how much he cares! he always takes the time to email you feedback, reassurance and advice. He adapts his teaching style to how you learn best, he is very thorough and knowledgeable, giving you advice and reference points to make learning as easy as possible.
Phil is so calm and never shouts or gets mad if you make a mistake, he is one of the loveliest people you will ever meet, i didn’t only gain a brilliant driving instructor but also a friend, i will really miss my lessons each week.
Phil believed in me and my driving when i didn’t believe in myself and reassured me every step of the way.
i honestly can’t thank him enough for all his help, i couldn’t of done it without him, i would always 100% recommend Phil to anyone learning to drive, he’s the best instructor there is "

I met Phil last year after finally deciding to learn to drive. He’s a great instructor, he makes it so much easier to drive, giving you reference points and explaining things in as much detail as needed. He’s very understanding and doesn’t hit you if you go wrong£ He kept me calm after having my tests cancelled for months and was very reassuring! I bet he’s over the moon to see the back of me now.

Passed first time
I met Phil on my 17th birthday for my first ever driving lesson. Since then I have felt so confident behind the wheel, even when I would get stressed and doubt myself he would never get annoyed when I would get things wrong.
I was doing my lessons for a couple of months and we decided to leave them for while as I was a bit ahead. After a good few months and I had passed my theory I started my lessons again right up until my practical test.
He kept me calm and reassured me how good at driving I was and that I would be okay. And just like that I passed my practical 1st time with no issues and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Phil! I couldn’t be more thankful!!
