A New Chapter: Hanging Up the L-Plates
To all my past, present, and future drivers,
After 13 and a half wonderful years as a driving instructor, the time has come for me to officially retire at the end of August due to health issues.
Looking back over the years, it has been an absolute privilege to help so many of you take to the road. We’ve shared it all—the nerve-wracking first lessons, the triumphs, the occasional setbacks, and plenty of tears, laughter, and celebratory hugs along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of learners.
I’m Still Here to Help!
While I am stepping back from full-time instruction, my passion for coaching hasn´t gone anywhere. If you have your own car and are looking for a bit of guidance, I am still available on a more informal basis to offer:

Learning together since October 2019 it has been quite a journey with 4 cancelled tests, but through it all Phil has been positive, reassuring and kind both in and out of lessons. Huge congratulations go to Alice who passed her test today at the first attempt and with only 3 driver faults. Alice should have taken her test in March 2020 and has had 4 cancellations due to the pandemic, so the pressure was on and she handled it perfectly. She joins my exclusive club of passing both theory and driving tests first time. It´s been an absolute pleasure taking you for lessons, enjoy your independence and stay safe.

"I would highly recommend Phil to anyone, I didn’t have much confidence in myself learning to drive however Phil helped me with this! He is the most dedicated and caring driving instructor and you can tell he cares very much for all of his learners. He sends out lessons briefs at the end of every lesson explaining the good points and the points that may need some work on which I found really helped!! Phil doesn’t just help with the practical driving side of things he is there for you in every aspect of driving and even just in general!! Couldn’t of asked for a better driving instructor to get me through my test which I passed first time thanks to Phil!!

Firstly Phil always made me feel comfortable and confident even when mistakes were made. His attitude towards teaching me how to drive was always very professional and I felt like I could ask anything without judgement.
