My brother suggested Phil to me. Before I had the lessons, I was very nervous about driving but after the first few lessons I felt a lot more comfortable and that was because Phil had a very calm manor and stuck to the basics. Phil will give you lesson briefings each week which shows you which parts you did well and which parts need focus on. This really helped me understand what I need to do to become a better driver. Before any manoeuvre you do he goes over it showing you the best and the safest way to do the manoeuvre by drawing it out and showing you what you need to look out for when doing the manoeuvre. He is very patient and relaxed in the lessons so if you do make a mistake he will show you what went wrong. He gives out lesson handouts every week which make you more familiar and comfortable with manoeuvres and other parts to driving. In some of the handouts it shows you how to approach certain roads in Buxton for example Dukes Drive and other test routes. This helped me because when we came to the road I would know how to approach it and what steps to take to make sure that its done safely. He also helped me out massively with the theory because he creates an account for you on a theory website which allows you to complete mock tests and helps you learn the theory side to driving. Phil was recommended to me by a friend who claimed that he was friendly, efficient and an all around good instructor. She was not wrong. After my first lesson I felt completely at ease and much more confident than I had expected, my confidence grew more and more with each lesson and I improved quickly. After each lesson Phil would email me a briefing which I would read over before the next lesson and he would always reply to my texts within about an hour. I don’t know anyone else who has such an efficient and reliable instructor, Phil never cancelled a lesson and always tried to stretch out the money in a way that I would benefit from. Towards my practical test date Phil was really supportive and he made me feel calm. Because of Phil, I passed my practical test first time after only four months of driving. Don´t think twice about having Phil as your instructor, he is the best. I’m sure a lot of other people will tell you the same too.

Phil has been a brilliant driving instructor. He gives clear instructions and his calm manner puts you at ease. He’s very reliable- always on time and never cancelled a lesson. I received a post lesson briefing after each lesson which detailed what went well and what I needed to improve which gave some structure to my lessons. He also sent me handouts which I found really useful to keep on top on things between lessons. He knew I needed to pass my test as quickly as possible, and was very flexible when driving test cancellations came up. Thank you Phil!

I got introduced to Pass with Phil from friends of mine, that had already been taking lessons with him, and I must say that he did not disappoint. Such a comfortable learning environment, not just a ´teacher´ or an ´instructor´ but also a friend. Pass with Phil also helps with so many other things, such as your theory test! Don´t hesitate to ask him for extra help with this or your driving test, as he´s always more than happy to help. I don´t have one bad thing to say about him as an instructor or as a person. I would 100% definitely recommend his service to any friend of mine that´s looking for an instructor for driving lessons. He also provides extra help through the use of apps on his iPad when leading driving basics, and also weekly emails and handouts as an extra bonus. Definitely worth more than the money!
