A New Chapter: Hanging Up the L-Plates
To all my past, present, and future drivers,
After 13 and a half wonderful years as a driving instructor, the time has come for me to officially retire at the end of August due to health issues.
Looking back over the years, it has been an absolute privilege to help so many of you take to the road. We’ve shared it all—the nerve-wracking first lessons, the triumphs, the occasional setbacks, and plenty of tears, laughter, and celebratory hugs along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of learners.
I’m Still Here to Help!
While I am stepping back from full-time instruction, my passion for coaching hasn´t gone anywhere. If you have your own car and are looking for a bit of guidance, I am still available on a more informal basis to offer:

Phil has definitely got to be one of the best driving instructors, he was so patient with me and gave me detailed emails about each lesson so you know what to work on and what you’ll be doing in the next lesson. He teaches you how to actually drive not just to pass the test which made me feel so much more confident on my test. My younger sister is starting her lessons with Phil next year and she can’t wait!
I’ve enjoyed every lesson with Phil and quite sad they’ve now come to an end, I will miss my lessons with Phil the jokes maybe not so much :) I highly recommend phil as a driving instructor he’s very talented at his job.

"My experience with Phil has only been positive, he´s incredibly talented at teaching learners with zero confidence and encouraging them to persevere and pass their test even if it takes a good few tries, he definitely helped me immeasurable amounts and I would whole heartedly recommend Phil to anyone wanting to learn how to drive. In the end I passed with 1 minor and can say with certainty that was because of Phil´s ability to calm me down before my test showing me invaluable thinking methods that I used to keep calm during the test, ensuring I didn´t make any silly mistakes."

He puts the most nervous drivers at ease very quickly from the first lesson, and explains things clearly and shows you how to do things not just explains it. Phil is very patient and will go over things as many times as you need

Phil is fantastic, he´s approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and has a cracking sense of humour!
My son really got on with him and Phil gave him loads of support and tips and hints. He has passed his test with much more than the knowledge to simply pass. I will definitely be enlisting Phil for my other son and daughter!
(Although I´m guessing you may not be operating in that capacity by then •...If not, I wish you all the very best for your future) .
