A New Chapter: Hanging Up the L-Plates
To all my past, present, and future drivers,
After 13 and a half wonderful years as a driving instructor, the time has come for me to officially retire at the end of August due to health issues.
Looking back over the years, it has been an absolute privilege to help so many of you take to the road. We’ve shared it all—the nerve-wracking first lessons, the triumphs, the occasional setbacks, and plenty of tears, laughter, and celebratory hugs along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of learners.

A friend suggested Pass with Phil to me when I was struggling with another instructor. Driving wasn´t something I enjoyed and I would often return from a lesson unhappy and dreading the next one. With Phil however, the opposite is true; from the start he encouraged me, reassured me, and made me laugh to the point I actually looked forward to lessons.
Phil is very patient and explained any mistakes so that I understood why they happened and then how to correct them. His positive disposition stopped me dwelling on those mistakes so I could carry on and ultimately pass.
Phil sends out handouts summarising each lesson which are useful as they allow you to see where improvements can be made and reflect on them in preparation for the next lesson and the test.
