A New Chapter: Hanging Up the L-Plates
To all my past, present, and future drivers,
After 13 and a half wonderful years as a driving instructor, the time has come for me to officially retire at the end of August due to health issues.
Looking back over the years, it has been an absolute privilege to help so many of you take to the road. We’ve shared it all—the nerve-wracking first lessons, the triumphs, the occasional setbacks, and plenty of tears, laughter, and celebratory hugs along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of learners.
I’m Still Here to Help!
While I am stepping back from full-time instruction, my passion for coaching hasn´t gone anywhere. If you have your own car and are looking for a bit of guidance, I am still available on a more informal basis to offer:

"I passed my test last week after learning with Phil since May. He made learning to drive so easy and has methods of explaining which make what you´re doing easy to understand. He offers help with your theory which was so helpful and sends out a briefing after every lesson. Phil has been very supportive and has built up my confidence loads and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is wanting to learn😁. Thank you so so much for everything!! Aimee x

"I started driving with Phil in April and there was never a dull moment. He is extremely patient and relates your driving lessons to theory also which was extremely helpful. He sends out handouts, as well as an email after each lesson about what you have covered and what went well and what you need to improve on so you know what you need to work on for next lesson.
Phil is very organised and has his lessons planned out fully so you get your allocated driving time with no messing around.
I had the best time learning to drive with Phil and I would 100% recommend him to anybody learning to drive, if you don’t mind awful jokes… 😂

Passed first time
"When I first started speaking with Phil, it was during the covid pandemic, after lots of messing around due to this I finally managed to start my lessons around April time. Upon meeting Phil for the first time, he was very polite and friendly, he welcomed me in and there was no awkwardness.
Phil is an amazing instructor who is very patient and asks questions regularly to see if you understand what he is saying / teaching. After each lesson, Phil will email you with everything you have covered during your lesson, it will have the good and the bad so you know which areas you need to work on for the next lesson. All his lessons are very well planned out, and his teaching ability is mint!
I would definitely recommend Phil to all people as he helped me to pass my test first time! He also helps people to pass their theory first time. Thank you again Phil, you’re a star!"
