A New Chapter: Hanging Up the L-Plates
To all my past, present, and future drivers,
After 13 and a half wonderful years as a driving instructor, the time has come for me to officially retire at the end of August due to health issues.
Looking back over the years, it has been an absolute privilege to help so many of you take to the road. We’ve shared it all—the nerve-wracking first lessons, the triumphs, the occasional setbacks, and plenty of tears, laughter, and celebratory hugs along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of learners.
I’m Still Here to Help!
While I am stepping back from full-time instruction, my passion for coaching hasn´t gone anywhere. If you have your own car and are looking for a bit of guidance, I am still available on a more informal basis to offer:

Phil has been an amazing driving instructor! I couldn´t of asked for anyone better.. he is so caring and would always drop me a text asking how i was during the week (which was nice) He made me feel at ease throughout every lesson and especially on the day of my test! I cant thank you enough Phil!! He gave me so much confidence with driving right from the beginning until right to the end and i really do appreciate it thank you so so much again Phil for everything you have done with me , i couldn´t of done it without you!

Cheers for everything Phil, I appreciate everything you have done for me, I honestly don’t think that I could have done half as good or passed my test first time if I had learnt with another driving instructor. Phil was so helpful throughout these past few months and he really does go the extra mile with teaching, and I would recommend him to anyone!

Phil, I can´t thank you enough for how much you´ve helped me over these past 4 months. It´s been an absolute amazing experience and I wouldn´t have wanted to experience it with anyone else. You´ve always had faith in me and boosted my confidence when I needed it, which helped so much. You´ve always gone the extra mile to give help when I needed it, especially with my theory. Well what can I say! You are what I call a role model for driving instructors, I couldn´t of asked for anyone better. Being on time, having a laugh, help me improve by every lesson, excellent structure of lessons and evaluating the individual and giving feedback is all that a person would need to learn to drive. I would recommend you to anyone who are willing to give in the time and make the effort to drive as that´s all you ask for as it´s down to us as well as you!

Well where to start ay Phil.
I have had a fun few months driving with you, I am sure you haven´t failed to make me smile every lesson.
You taught me with great patients and understanding whilst making the experience enjoyable.
Your emails after every lesson were helpful towards my theory test and practical test.
I know we struggled with me working everyday, it made it hard because I was always tired after work and then to do a 2hour lesson, some days it showed I was tired.
